Scope:
Critical Gender Studies Journal / Revista Crítica de Estudios de Género (ISSN: 3048-7293) is an interdisciplinary (also antidisciplinary) and transnational platform for all who are interested in exploring how gender and sexuality shape and are shaped by various social, cultural, historical, and political contexts. It also examines the relationships between gender and sexuality and other facets of identity, including nationality, race, class, ethnicity, religion, and disability. It aims to challenge the assumptions and norms that underlie gender and sexual relations and to promote social justice and equality for all people.
The journal is a convergence of various disciplines that offer different theoretical and methodological approaches to the emerging issues in Gender Studies. The journal is committed to publishing cutting-edge research that applies innovative theories and methods to address the complex and evolving issues of gender and sexuality in the contemporary world.
The journal welcomes contributions that adopt an interdisciplinary and transnational perspective, engage with diverse and marginalized voices and experiences, and challenge the dominant paradigms and practices that reproduce gender and sexual inequalities. We particularly encourage submissions that employ applied research and action research approaches, aim to produce relevant and useful knowledge for social change and reflect on the emerging trends and challenges in Gender Studies. By fostering a dialogue between theory and practice, the journal aims to advance the understanding and transformation of gender and sexuality in various contexts and domains.
